Under this Law, a Regional Patent System is instituted whereby a single application is filed and the ensuing Letters Patent are effective in the six (6) contracting Gulf States.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/kad-ip.com\/?page_id=557\" class=\"read-more-button\">More<span class=\"arrow-in-button\"><\/span><\/a>\n<h2>The GCC Patents<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Saudi Patents are governed by the Patents, Layout Designs and Integrated Circuits, Plant Varieties and Industrial Models Law, issued under Royal Decree No. M\/27 dated July 17, 2004.\u00a0 It came into force on September 6, 2004, one month after its publication in the Saudi Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/kad-ip.com\/?page_id=556\" class=\"read-more-button\">More<span class=\"arrow-in-button\"><\/span><\/a>\n<p>In both the Saudi and GCC Patents, the Applicant could either be an Individual or a Company, or the Inventor himself or the Assignee, whether an Individual or a Company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Saudi Patents The amended Unified Patent Law of the GCC countries took effect on August 16, 2000.
