KAD is also equipped with the capabilities and qualifications to handle liaison and enforcement actions. The Saudi Customs Authorities (SCA) concluded with KAD a Memorandum of Understanding (\u201cMOU\u201d) as a consultant Saudi company to combat commercial fraud and counterfeiting by contacting the brand owners and confirming the status of the goods whether or not they are genuine or counterfeit before they would be released by the SCA to the Saudi markets, and to pursue this avowed objective and achieve its implementation, in all Ports of entry and to the far-flung borders of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

In line with its goals under the MOU that it had concluded with the SCA, KAD conducts and regularly continues to conduct, workshops and training sessions for the SCA Inspectors, Examiners and Senior Officials and also, for the high level officials of the Anti-Counterfeiting and Fraud Department (ACFD) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and other related government agencies involved in Intellectual Property protection.<\/p>\n
